  Dustin Brumley did an amazing job! We have been looking for a home for a little over 2 years. 6 months on and then getting disappointed and then taking a few months off, rinse, repeat. Being self employed has made this entire process a complete roller coaster. Banks telling us what we "want" to hear, finding a wonderful home and then banks telling us what "reality" is once it gets to this mystical creature called an underwriter. After being disappointed so many times previously I decided to take a different approach and get full approval prior to looking at any homes, I started this back in March… and believe it or not, still getting banks that I applied for calling me to this day saying that my application is finally being reviewed by an underwriter and I should have a response back any day now. I tell them the home purchase has already gone through and thanks for the "speedy" reply. I went to numerous local banks and got the same run around as before, but then my real estate agent (Briddick Webb) told me that I should try Dustin Brumley at Neighborhood Mortgage and see what they could do. From the very first phone call I could see this process was going to be much different. Dustin took a straight forward no nonsense approach to my situation and gave me just straight facts. No run around, no false hopes, no BS… which I appreciated very much. Being my first home purchase and being let down so many times before I was very hesitant about the whole process and Dustin made it very easy and literally took the reigns for the entire process and made everything go as smooth as possible. Of course there were bumps in the road, being self employed things are always more difficult, but he stuck with it and never broke contact with me for more than a day. Even when there was nothing to report, Dustin would still pick up the phone and take the time to tell me where things were at and what was going on at the time, even if it was still just waiting to hear back. I really appreciated this attention to detail and overall ownership of the entire process. It was nice feeling like a person and not just another number and application to review. Other places I felt like an inconvenience. If your looking to purchase a new home and don't want to be let down with false hopes, don't go to a bank. Because speaking from experience and numerous banks later, they have a loan person that will sell you the world and then once that application is submitted you never hear from that original person again, or they have no idea what the status is on anything, their process is just so different that they are just not involved at all and don't have a reason to be. I know Dustin didn't have the power to personally approve my loan or have the power to push things through instantly, but he stuck with it and took ownership of my situation and made the right moves and put 100% effort towards my loan and I couldn't be happier. Even when I received a denial from the same bank that ultimately approved my loan, Dustin caught the mistake instantly and made the calls to get the data re-evaluated and pointed out the exact mistake the first underwriter made. Again being self employed, my financials are not cut and dry, there are many aspects to review and Dustin has a very good understanding of this. Buying a home is extremely stressful, do yourself a favor and if your looking for a home loan, just call Dustin and have it taken care of… he will be very honest with you and your situation and will make sure you stay within your means and have a great experience overall.   I highly recommend this company if you are looking for an attentive, customer oriented mortgage company. As a First-time home owner and working full time, I had very little time to devote to the mortgage process, and no idea what to expect. I worked with Neighborhood Mortgage and Sally Salisbury made the entire loan process seamless and easy. She was great at communicating from start to finish and put me at ease on my first home purchase. She explained the whole process during our first meeting and was available whenever I had a question about what was going on. The home buying process was nerve wracking at times, however I felt well-cared for and confident in Sally's ability to find the best solution to any hiccup that came up. She checked in frequently to let me know how everything was going, and helped me sleep during each phase of the loan process. Sally exceeded my expectations and provided customer service above and beyond what was required. I truly enjoyed working with her and Brandi, and am thankful for their guidance and support. They're the best!
